You are employed as a Hospitality Development Junior at an organisation of your choice that is located in a popular tourist destination. The organisation aims to provide a unique and memorable experience to its guests by focusing on current trends such as sustainability, cultural immersion, and personalised services. As part of your role, you have been tasked with developing a comprehensive report to help supplement a project your manager is working on. You will need to investigate current and anticipated skills needed in staff as well as internal and external factors using SWOT and PESTLE. 

In your report, you should:

• Investigate a range of different operational roles within the hospitality industry
• Examine the skills required for roles within the hospitality industry and current skills shortages 
• Review the skills gaps within the hospitality industry in relation to a range of different operational roles (Merit)
• Analyse the impact that skills gaps have on hospitality businesses and make valid solutions for addressing these skills gaps (Distinction)

• Assess the political, economic, social, technological, legislative, and environmental factors that affect the development of organisations operating within the hospitality industry
• Undertake a SWOT analysis for a hospitality business and review how this can inform the decision-making process

• An appraisal of the implications of current and potential trends in the hospitality industry; give a range of specific examples

To supplement the report, you are required to produce presentation slides that will determine and examine the industry’s current economic contribution and value.
